I live and work in Philadelphia, where I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Pennsylvania.
My primary clinical interest is in functional and motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Some of my other interests include the history, literature, and culture of medicine.
I went to college at Harvard University and to medical school at the University of Michigan. I completed my clinical training at the University of Virginia and the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
